This rhyme activity is perfect for Year 1 phonics lessons and building phonological awareness. It can be used for literacy centers in a Kindergarten, Grade 1 or Grade 2 classroom.

It includes over 240 words with rhyming LONG VOWEL, DIPHTHONG and R-CONTROLLED VOWEL words. These are separated into 2 levels:

  • Level 1: Long Vowels
  • Level 2: Diphthongs and R-Controlled Vowels

Picture answer cards are included as an additional scaffold, as well lists of all rhyming words, and an answer sheet which can be used as a worksheet or in wipe mats as a literacy rotation.
